If you do not have cream shadows, do not worry, because any product with the texture can be used to make eyeshadows adhere better to the eyelid.
You could use concealer for example by spreading a thin layer on the eyelid before applying the eyeshadow of your choice on top. The above tricks work well, but today there are products specifically designed to fix eye shadows and make them last longer without cracking or fading so quickly. These are called primers or eye primer , a creamy products to be applied to the eyelid shadows just before makeup and also intensifies color and brightness.
We recommend that you choose one that is of a good quality to make it last much longer, especially if your skin is very oily. How do you apply eye shadow? It is very important to keep this in mind as misapplication of the product often causes it to fade quicker. This can include: Serums Eye creams Toners Moisturizers.
Part 2. Choose a base. Another important part of making sure your eyeshadow lasts is to provide the shadow with a base to stick to. While eyeshadow may initially stick to your skin, over time it will smear, smudge, and fade.
But if you use a base, the eyeshadow will have something else to stick to, meaning it will last longer, and will look more vibrant. Popular eyeshadow bases include: Primers Concealers and foundations Eyeliner. Use a primer. Just like you can prime a wall before painting it, so too can you prime your skin before applying makeup.
Apply foundation or concealer. Oil-free liquid concealer or foundation can be used as a substitute for primer. Apply a light coat of concealer or foundation to your eyelid like you would a primer, and then allow it to set for a few seconds.
Then apply a thin layer of face powder over top of the concealer. Put on a layer of eyeliner. Blend the eyeliner by gently rubbing it into your eyelid with your finger. Part 3. Apply cream shadow first. To make your eyeshadow last as long as possible, use a combination of cream and powder eyeshadows on top of your base.
Start with the cream shadow, applying it with a brush to your eyelid, lash line, and the crease of your eye. Put on powder shadow. Dip a clean brush into your powder eyeshadow and tap off the excess. Apply a layer of powder over top of the cream eyeshadow. Apply a small amount of this under your eyeshadow to make the texture of skin smoother and take away excess oil.
Shadow glides on evenly and stays longer on top of a layer of foundation. You can get this at the chemist shop. Use a cotton ball to apply a tiny amount over your lids as your base and eye makeup will stay much longer. Cream eye shadow tends to last longer than powder. If you really love the powder, then apply a thin layer of cream shadow in a similar colour before applying the powder eyeshadow on top.
Use one for applying your eye makeup properly and blending in the shades smoothly. A well-done application is likely to last you much longer than a flimsy dabbing on. Cheaper brushes may seem to work fine for the moment, but the shades start smearing around after some time. Invest in a few high quality brushes for your eye makeup and you will not be disappointed.
Lastly, you may use water. Not the coolest way to go about things, but, oh well.
